DECEMBER ~ 2010

 

 

It was December, not Spring.  But the season of growth had already begun.  Sprouting upwards from the corner at Sixth Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, the first steel columns rose from behind the concrete foundation walls and above street level.  Nine months into construction, a first deck was evident.  If I'm not mistaken, the framework pictured here became the deck that separates Section 31 below, from Sections 230 and 231 above.  From this point, construction efforts headed west..., along Atlantic Avenue towards Flatbush.
