Before anything, there was a sign placed at the corner of Atlantic Avenue at Flatbush,  accompanied  by some fencing, and barricades.  Pretty yawn inspiring at the time.  The new entrance plaza and  transit hub now occupy the space where this sign once stood.  The underground subway connections are due to be in service by September 17th  However, the plaza entrance itself will not be open to the public yet.  This coming Friday, September 21, 2012; thirty months after this sign went up; the Nets will hold ribbon cutting ceremonies at Barclays Center.
