Brooklyn Nets: Suffer Flat Tire During Road Trip Through Cleveland

From the desk: THE HOOPS OF FLATBUSH

No Defense
Against Second Lowest Scoring Team in League

NETS   250
CAVS   272

Two of the more disturbing losses of the season ...

Two games against the second-worst offensive team in the league and the Nets, the third highest-scoring team in the league, lose both getting outscored by a gross 250-272 margin.  Playing without Kevin Durant, the Nets were badly outrebounded 29-50 on Friday, while Cleveland nearly doubled them up at the free-throw line.  James Harden, starting at power forward for the first time in his career, scored 19 points with a game-high eleven assists in 37 minutes.  Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 38 points with only five assists in 31 minutes.  Coach Nash extended the bench to six, with Jeff Green and Timothe-Luwawu Cabarrot playing 26 minutes respectively.  Back in the starting lineup, Joe Harris was limited by Cleveland (and Kyrie's lack of distribution) to just eight points on 3/9 from the floor.
