Renegades Turn Up The Power To Clinch Series Win

Looking to salvage a series split, Carson Seymour climbed the hill for Brooklyn.  After three scoreless frames, Hudson Valley third baseman Tyler Hardman and first baseman Eric Wagaman connected on back-to-back home runs.  The Renegades added two more before the fourth inning was through.

Brooklyn third baseman Jose Peroza homered with two outs in the fifth, and Matt Rudick tripled and scored on a fielder's choice in the sixth.  But the Cyclones would tally no more.  Jose Peroza and Rudick accounted for four of Brooklyn's six hits.  The lineup drew just two walks and fanned eleven times.

The Renegades added a pair in the eighth batting against right-hander Nolan Clenney en route to a 6-2 victory and series win over the Cyclones.

Hudson Valley southpaw T.J. Sikkema allowed no runs, no hits, and no walks, with eight strikeouts in 4.1 innings, but exited to a no-decision.  Right-hander Nelvin Correa secured two outs in the fifth inning and earn the win.  But Josue Panacual did the heavy lifting with four innings of relief to earn the save.
