Grasshoppers Win Pitcher's Duel With Late Home Run

The Grasshoppers and Cyclones played a nail-biter on Friday.  Both pitching staffs yielded just four hits and issued minimal bases on balls.  Greensboro batters struck out 13 times while the 'Clones fanned eleven times.  Greensboro starter Jared Jones and Carson Seymour for Brooklyn departed to no decisions.  Jones allowed one run on two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six innings.  Making his eighth start for Brooklyn, Seymore yielded no runs on two hits and one walk with eleven strikeouts over 6.2 innings pitched.  The game remained a one-run affair through the seventh.  In the top of the eighth, left-hander Andrew Edwards served up a two-run home run hit by shortstop Francisco Acuna from which the Cyclones did not recover.  Greensboro evens their first-ever series on Coney Island at two.  BOXSCORE
