N.Y. Mets: Big Citi Night

From the desk of: HEAD-BUTTING MR. MET

57-56 (.504)
First Time Above .500 Since May 2

The Mets are now 17-6 since the All-Star break.

Monday, May 2, the Mets are one game above .500 and within 1.5 games of first place.  On May 28 they're straddling par with a 27-27 record.  By July 12 the Mets fall eleven games under .500 and 14.5 games out of first place.  And then ... they go 12-4 through the rest of July and in the midst of a seven game win streak.  It's their first month at or above par since April.  Upon returning from a 5-1 road trip, they sweep Monday's double-header against the Marlins at Citi Field.  In game two Michael Conforto and Pete Alonso go back to back putting the Mets ahead.  The place goes bonkers.  At the end of the game Alonso bids the fans a freakin' #LGFM!  Tuesday they wake to a 57-56 record and are a mere 2.5 games out of the second wild card spot.

They're 11-1 over their last twelve games, and presently winners of four in a row.

Amazin' ..!
