Brooklyn Leads Series 2-0
I - BRK 11; SIY 4
II - BRK 4; SIY 1

TUESDAY
Brooklyn Cyclones
vs.
Staten Island Yankees

Michael Gibbons - no stranger to Brooklyn - returns to Coney Island and no-hits the Staten Island  Yankees ... for the first few innings, that is.  He faces eleven batters, throwing 43 pitches with 26 (60%) going for strikes.  Gibbons yields no hits, no runs, and two walks with two strikeouts in three innings pitched but does not factor in the decision.  Usual starter Garrison Bryant enters this game in the fourth.  He surrenders Staten Island's lone run of the game on three hits and no walks with five
strikeouts in earning his fourth victory of the season against just one loss with a 2.59 ERA.  Nelson Leon closes out the ninth to earn his fourth save of the season.

Antoine Duplantis is 2 for 4 with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI.  Jose Peroza is 1 for 4 with a two run home run in the eighth, and Wilmer Reyes is 3 for 4 with a run scored and one run batted in.

Brooklyn's victory coupled with Hudson Valley's loss against Lowell places them just 1.5 games back of the division lead with 19 games left to play.
