"John Donaldson, the highest salaried colored pitcher in the universe accompanies the Brooklyn Royal Giants, who open a three game series here this afternoon with the Bacharach Giants." - Atlantic City (NJ) Press, July 15, 1918/The Donaldson Network. 

On Wednesday, July 17, 1918, the Brooklyn Royal Giants and Bacharach Giants wrap up their series at Atlantic City.  However, the outcome of game three remains unknown.  Brooklyn won games one and two.

The next day, Thursday, July 18, 1918, Brooklyn arrives at Camden, New Jersey.  In the lead-up to their upcoming game against N.Y. Ship League team, the local Morning Post newspaper, confirms the conclusion of the Bacharach series without revealing details:

"The Brooklyn Royal Giants team has just closed a series of games with the Bacharach Giants of Atlantic City." (paraphrased).
