OTD 9/15/1935: Negro National League Brooklyn Eagles Play Final Games at Ebbets Field

From the desk: WHERE THE EAGLES LEARNED TO FLY



On Sunday, September 15, 1935, the Brooklyn Eagles of the Negro National League, play their last games at Ebbets Field.  Abe and Effa Manley, the owners of the Brooklyn Eagles, purchase the Newark Dodgers and merge the two organizations into the Newark Eagles for the 1936 season.
