Fernando Cruz, who secures the last two outs on a pop-up and a strikeout, but not before Panama scores two runs and puts a good scare into fans of Puerto Rico.

Edgar Arredondo scapes with a no-decision after yielding three runs on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 4.2 innings pitched. Mexico's bullpen allows just two hits and no runs with three strikeouts over the final 5.1 innings.
Carlos Torres earns the victory in relief. Los Tomateros de Culiacan advance to the semifinal round.
