My Two Cents:

Bott 1st INNING ~ Jorge Posada bit on the old double steal; tsk tsk.  He threw the ball down without checking the runner.  Andrus was running on Posada's throw.  Hamilton pulled up content to get in run-down.  Andrus steals home easily ahead of Cano's throw.


Top 2nd INNING ~ After two out double by Swisher and a walk to Posada, Berkman-DH lines out hard to RF-Cruz.  Yankees leave two on base.  Swisher and Berkman pulled ball sharply to RF corner.  Cruz busy in RF this afternoon.  Yanks are pulling hard hit balls against Lewis.


Bott 2nd INNING ~ David Murphy jacked one off Hughes.  Rangers off to another early lead.  Line-up makes it's first turn-over in under 6 outs.  Two outs and two on for Michael Young and he smacks a Base Hit down right field line.  Moreland scores.  Runners on 2nd and 3rd for Hamilton-INTENTIONALLY WALKED to load bases.  Guerrero grounds weakly to Alex Rodriguez for a Fielder's Choice, leaving the bases loaded.


Top 3rd INNING ~ That pitch did not hit Granderson on the foot!!!  It skipped before his toe!  TEX has two runners on with one out and...Pop-up behind 2nd base; Infield Fly Rule-2nd out.  ARod grounds to shortstop, force play on Granderson.  Yanks leave two more runners on base.


Bott 3rd INNING ~ Cruz leads-off with a double.  Kinsler lays down perfect bunt making ARod field play; Cruz to 3rd base.  David Murphy golfs a good Hughes curve ball into the right field corner to score Cruz; runner on 2nd base still one out.  Molina-first pitch hitting, doubles to RF/CF gap; scores Murphy.  Bottom of the Rangers' line-up is wrecking Phil Hughes.


Top 4th INNING ~ Cano belts one off CF wall for a double.  A passed ball by Molina moves Cano to 3rd base.  Swisher-what an unproductive out!  He watches strike three on the inside corner; one out.  Posada strikes out swinging.  Two K's in a row; 2 outs.  Berkman singles off 1st baseman's glove and rounds 1st base bag too confidently! He gets caught between bases (3 to 1 on the scoring); Cano scores on play.


Bott 4th INNING ~ (Hughes still in Ballgame) ~ Hamilton leads-off with a walk.  VLAD is swinging for the fences; two big cuts vs Hughes.  Joba is warming up.  Here comes Hughes 79th pitch...fouled off. 
Pitch #80...curve in dirt to VLAD.  Hamilton running on play; VLAD whacked a line out to RF; Hamilton doubled off at 1st base by Swisher.  Crisis averted.


Top 5th INNING ~ Jeter looks at strike three; his second strike out today.  Granderson getting on base many different ways today.  TEX swings at strike three and a 12-to-6 curve ball.  Three outs.


Bott 5th INNING ~ Cruz launched a shot to straight away CF one foot shy of being a home run.  Hughes still getting smacked around.  Kinsler smacks a opposite field triple past a diving Swisher; Cruz scores; No Outs.
HUGHES day is over.  It's Joba Time.  Hughes does not go 5 innings (no outs into 5th inning).  Murphy (big day) strike out swinging against JOBA.  JOBA strikes out Molina swinging.  Morleand the rookie-singles!  Kinsler scores.  That run belongs to Hughes.
Rangers ~ 7 runs and 11 hits.


Top 6th INNING ~ Moreland (Tex) makes nice play on ARod pop-up by 1st base (foul). CANO hit a BOMB to the Arlington RF upper deck bleachers.  The fans threw it back.  Solo shot; Yankees 2nd run both scored by Cano.  Posada who's in a funk, singled with two outs.  It's time to take out LEWIS (Texas).  He's losing it quickly after pitch #100....And Berkman draws a walk.  Here comes Ron Washington to make a change!  Lewis is getting a major ovation from the crowd.  He acknowledges crowd.  Marcus Thames pinch hitting for Gardner, off new pitcher RAPADA-(Two ON and Two Outs)-STRIKES OUT SWINGING!!


Bott 6th INNING ~ Robertson (NYY) gets first two outs; strikes out Hamilton.  VLAD scrapes one of the dirt for a base hit to left.  Robertson hit 93mph on the gun.  Robertson strikes out Cruz.


Top 7th INNING ~ OGANDO pitching for TEXAS.  Jeter works out a leadoff walk.  Uh-oh!  This kid for TEX has absolutely no MLB experience, or minor league experience to speak of.  And he's getting squeezed on some pitches..   And there goes a YANKEES SUCK chant.  Grandy pops up to Young.  TEX-on a 1-2 pitch from OGANDO...grounds into a 3 to 6 fielder's choice.  2 Outs.  Alex Rodriguez up.  Texas mouths their appreciation for ARod!  OGANDO 97mph fastball right past AROD!  C'mon...still getting squeezed.  STRIKE TWO!   The 2-2 pitch,  pop to SS/OF is dropped!  Runners on 1st and 2nd for CANO - Two Outs - Count 1-2...fouled off...STRIKE OUT SWINGING!!

Bott 7th INNING ~ Kinsler pops out to SS and Girardi comes out to pull Robertson.  Boone Logan new Yankee pitcher after one out.  Texas goes quietly.


Top 8th INNING ~ YANKEES down to their last 6 outs (again).  Hope Rangers have a short memory.  Darren Oliver in for TEX. (Swisher-Posada-Berkman).  UNBELIEVABLE!!!  Lead-off walk to Swisher.
1-2 pitch to POSADA-strike three swinging on a curve ball!!!  One Out.  Berkman 2-1 pitch...out 4 to 3 on a great play from Ian Kinsler.  Swisher moves to 3rd base.  OLIVER taken out of the game...in comes O'DAY for TEX.  Thames out third to first.  Three outs.


Bott 8th INNING ~ Full count to Moreland...Lead-off walk.  That's gotta drive a manager crazy!  Girardi is coming out.  Boone Logan is out; Sergio Mitre is in.  Mitre walks first batter he faces, then gets Young to ground into a double play.  They intentionally walk Hamilton.  With VLAD up, Hamilton runs, but Posada doesn't fall for the double steal gag this time.  he fakes the thow to second and holds on; Hamilton stolen base.  runners on 2nd and 3rd with tweo outs......VLAD strikes out swinging!!!


Top 9th INNING ~ (FELIZ pitching for RANGERS) - Jeter works the count full...(98mph fastballs) and strikes out for third time tonight.  Grandy worked out a walk off another full count.  TEX worked out a walk an another full count!  UNBELIEVABLE!  ARod gets behind and grounds a 1-2 pitch to third 5 to 3; runners hold.  CANO (Mr. Yankee right now) hits deep fly to LF corner....Out number three. 
GAME OVER.


The TEXAS RANGERS won their first ever home playoff game.  It was only their second playoff win in their history (both against the NY Yankees).
