On Wednesday, June 14, 1939, Max Rosner's Bushwicks defeated the Queens Club of Woodside at Dexter Park. Brooklyn starter Wally Signer allowed just two hits with twelve strikeouts in a complete-game shutout effort. Emil Gall completed the Bushwick battery. The home team scored five runs on seven hits off Queens' hurler, Halub.
