Fighting For The Window Seats: Knicks vs. Nets - I

From the desks of:

Crosstown Traffic

TONIGHT
New York Knicks
vs.
Brooklyn Nets
from
BARCLAYS CENTER
Flatbush Avenue

They're two New York City teams perhaps waiting for the same crosstown bus.

Both teams need direction.

One team adopted a triangle, while the other is seemingly going in circles.

Considering the Nets made the playoffs last season and the Knicks did not, Phil Jackson is clearly a huge step forward for the Knicks while Billy King arguably orchestrated a big step backwards.

But it's too early for either team to really say for sure.

They both generously sprinkled years worth of draft picks throughout the NBA.

They're both led by new head coaches, and both teams have renewed confidence in their premiere player.

But when you get down to it, both are still riddled with question marks.

Both actually enter Friday's game somewhat more humbled than in the past two years.

However, when the bus pulls up, at the very least there will be a fight for the window seats.
