NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS: Don't Go Out With A Whimper.
Sadly, there's already so little to play for. The fading dream went full blown nightmare last Sunday against Dallas. Despite a running game that ran wild, the Giants were hogtied by the Cowboys, and their season, all but sent to the glue factory.
So, let's keep this next game in its proper context. For as long as there remains a mathematical possibility at making the playoffs, we're all forced to entertain even the remote notion of post-season play. How cruel. But make no mistake, this is definitively Big Blue's last chance at salvaging their season - which doesn't really say much. Win or lose, the Giants problems precede them. They have too many teams to hurdle, including themselves.
The season has now unfortunately devolved into a matter of pride. So, let's go down with a fight, shall we? Big Blue must still bring all their resolve, fortitude, and professionalism into Sunday's game against the Washington
But easier said than done. This just may turn into the game RG3 needed to break out of his funk. Two factors from last week's game against the Cowboys weigh heavily this game. First, Jason Pierre Paul is listed as out this week. Second, the Giants secondary led the team in tackles last week, which means Big Blue linebacking, sucked. Put those two together, and you have RG3's optimal situation.
