Jackie Robinson Day

Sixty-five years ago, Jackie Robinson took the lonesome and incredibly courageous first steps towards integrating Baseball after signing a major league contract with Branch Rickey and the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Today, his wife, Rachel Robinson, is part of the ownership group which is due to purchase the Los Angeles Dodgers from Frank McCourt.
