KNICKS News & NETS Views from the The Barclays Center Site

YOU ~ US ~ WE ~ NOW
...and, WHERE?

NEW YORK KNICKS:  Amare' Stoudemire is MIA;

...Missing In Advertising that is.

It appears the Knicks' promotional campaign along Atlantic Avenue at the Barclays Center/Atlantic Yards site has run it's course.  Gone is the N.Y. Knicks billboard from the side of a warehouse located inside the Atlantic Yards footprint that depicted Amare' Stoudemire standing at the forefront of a scene from DUMBO with the Manhattan Bridge as a background.

The billboard along Atlantic Avenue was originally thought by many to be retaliation for the Nets' building sized advertisement on 8th Avenue just a few blocks from Madison Square Garden.  However, Nets CEO Brett Yormark advised the public he spoke previously with the Knicks about the move and that they were never engaged in a Battle of the Billboards.

Maybe Jim Dolan thinks differently, evidenced by this little ad that's been sitting atop Flatbush Avenue at 7th Avenue?

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2011
BARCLAYS CENTER of BROOKLYN

Back at the Barclays Center site, construction has progressed eastward along Atlantic Avenue and is turning southward at the corner of 6th Avenue.  The 6th Avenue portion of the arena will comprise the rear of the structure.  The main entrance will face west looking out towards Flatbush Avenue.
