PIGSKIN 2013; Football Sunday - Week Ten

PIGSKIN

Football Sunday
Week Ten

Weekly Results:

Week Nine Record:  5-6
Overall Record:  52-57-5
Schmear of the Week:  6-3
Bagels in the Basket:  -1

COIN TOSS:

Tampa Bay plays Monday night - Who wins first, the Jaguars or Buccaneers?

THIRD and LONG:

Right up there with the Giants and Steelers at 2-6, the Falcons and Texans headline the two more of biggest disappointments this year.  Week Ten could effectively end all their seasons.

PUNT:

Think about what kind of ramifications the Saints suffered for Bounty Gate.  The Miami Dolphins haven't even begun to suffer the fallout, or consequences of Incognito/Martin Gate.  This is going to get so ugly.  It seems like the NFL is doing everything possible in order to become an extinct sport.

Let's roll some Bagels....

WEEK TEN:
Friday Line - NYDN

GIANTS -7 (Raiders)
If the G-Men can't beat the Raiders (no slouches), then they have greater issues than originally thought.
Loss; 24-20 Giants

TITANS -12 (Jaguars)
Because!
Loss; 29-27 Jaguars

Eagles +2 (PACKERS)
Missing Aaron Rogers may not be the catastrophe it appears.  I see this game going down to a last minute field goal.
Win; 21-13 Eagles

Bills +3 (STEELERS)
Big Ben is hard to bring down, but the Bills can get it done.  They've played everyone tough.
Loss; 23-10 Steelers

Rams +10 (COLTS)
Just looking for the Rams to cover this one.
Win; 38-8 Rams

Seahawks -6 1/2 (FALCONS)
Status quo.  Seattle is not as dominant as they were earlier in the season, but the Falcons look resigned to taking a major step backwards this season.
Win; 33-10 Seahawks

Bengals -1 1/2 (RAVENS)
This is my stay away game - do not like it one bit.  It's not the Ravens I have trouble with.  It is the Bengals who are too unpredictable.
Loss; 20-17 Ravens  O.T.

Lions PK (BEARS)
I'm riding the Lions like a mule this season.
Win; 21-19 Lions

Panthers +6 (49ERS)
Game of the week.  Looking for a good, close, physical battle.
Win; 10-9 Panthers

CARDINALS - 2 1/2 (Texans)
Cardinals continue to play great against the spread this season.  The Texans, like the Falcons, need to regroup.
Win; 27-24 Cardinals

Broncos -7 (CHARGERS)
I'm think I'm just about through with extending the Chargers good will this season.
Win; 28-20 Broncos

*SAINTS -6 1/2 (Cowboys)
No rocket science here.  I'm looking for the super Saints of the SuperDome to win a shootout.
Win; 49-17 Saints

*Schmear of the Week: (+3 bagels)
Lions - pick 'em
WIN

Going with home made pizza this week.  What's on your table?  Good luck, and have a Happy Football Sunday everyone...!

POST-GAME:

Week Ten Record:  8-4
Overall Record:  60-61-5
Schmear of the Week:  7-3
Bagels in the Basket:  +6
