PIGSKIN ~ Wild Card Weekend

2011
NFL PLAYOFFS

PIGSKIN:
WILD CARD WEEKEND

OVERALL REGULAR SEASON RECORD:   120-99-10
SHMEAR of the WEEK:   8-8-1
FINAL COUNT;  BAGELS in the BASKET:   +6

ALL RESULTS - Week One Through Week Seventeen

**PIGSKIN ~ POST SEASON EDITION**
(Friday Line - NYDN)

NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:

Saturday, January 7, 2012

SAINTS -10 1/2 (Lions)
The only way the Saints don't win this is of Ndamukong Suh actually succeeds in ripping Drew Brees' head off.  That's what it would take for the Lions to win.  That's not allowed in the NFL.  So the Lions lose.  Nice season though.  Bye.
WIN - 45-28; Saints

Sunday, January 8, 2012

GIANTS -3 (Falcons)
Because I think the Giants can win.
POST:  Defensive Synchronicity
POST:  Rushing to the Center of the Problem
WIN - 29-2; Giants

AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:

Saturday, January 7, 2012

TEXANS -3 1/2 (Bengals)
The Rookie Bowl.  Both teams will be sporting a rookie quarterback.  What's a prognosticator to do?  When in doubt, go with defense.  The Bengals have been the biggest tease all season.  That ends this weekend.
WIN - 31-10; Texans

Sunday, January 8, 2012

Steelers -8 (BRONCOS)
Really?  I'll take a chance that a rumblin', stumblin', bumblin' Big Ben on crutches is still better than Tim Tebow.  And that's if Denver has the guts to start him Sunday.  I can't even see the Broncos scoring ten points.  So that left me asking - Can the Steelers score twenty?
LOSS - 29-23; Broncos  O.T.

Happy Wild Card Weekend Everyone!  Good Luck.

*No SHMEARS for the Playoffs.  I'm going Bagels straight up, game for game.
