Brooklyn Nets: Adversity Has Entered The Building

From the desk: THE HOOPS OF FLATBUSH

NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
PLAYOFFS: ROUND TWO
Brooklyn vs. Milwaukee tied; 2-2
I - BKN 115; MIL 107
II - BKN 125; MIL 86
III - MIL 86; BKN 83
IV - MIL 107; BKN 96

And Then There Was One ...

The cat is out of the bag ... NBA refs hate Brooklyn too.

What Giannis Antetokounmpo did to Kyrie Irving should have been called a foul.  That the NBA has still not yet issued him a belated technical or fine is ponderous to me.  I happen to believe Giannis knew exactly what he was doing, exactly where he was stepping.  He wasn't contesting anything.  Giannis drifted in from the left side into the very space from where Kyrie Irving elevated.  Giannis took away Kyrie's league-regulated space to land.

Be that as it may, Kyrie Irving leaves the floor midway through the second quarter with a sprained ankle and does not return.  The Nets have since announced both Kyrie and Jame Harden will not play in game five.

Outside of the opening seconds of game one, the Bucks are yet to face the Big Three, and it is now doubtful they will before this series is over.  Kyrie Irving did not play in the first regular-season meeting against Milwaukee, and James Harden did not play in the last two regular-season games against the Bucks.

And that's why I wanna know ...

Where is Joe Harris?!

Is anyone taking attendance?  Because I haven't seen him in two games.

His stellar shooting percentage from behind the arc be damned!  I've been saying this all season, and here I go again.  The Nets do not need Joe Harris eclipsing 20 points when James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant are all available together.  They need him most when one or two of the big three are missing.  In that respect, he's been far from reliable.

Away from Barclays Center, Joe Harris scored just three points in game three and again came in under double-digits with eight.  In two games at Flatbush, Joe Harris was 12/23 (52.1%) with 32 points.  But in two games at Milwaukee, Joe is just 4/19 (21.0%) for eleven points.

That simply will not do.
