WEEK SIX
NYP/MGM Friday Line

GIANTS -2 1/2 No Names
Toilet Bowl VI.  These teams are pretty even.  For all the talk the No Names defense is getting, the Giants have yielded less points.  This game comes down to three things: Daniel Jones vs. Kyle Allens, who outperforms who and if Jones can stop turning over the damn ball.  With a break, a turnover and a little luck the Giants have a shot at winning their first game.
WIN  20-19 Giants

DOLPHINS -9 1/2 Jets
Fish get to swim in their own tank.  FitzMagic single-handedly destroyed the Niners.  I'm sure he's looking forward to destroying his former team as well.  Fish no doubt wanna slap Adam Gase around too.  Jets no longer have Le'Veon Bell who they didn't use anyway.  Joe Flacco showed nothing last week.  Best thing that can happen is if the Jets lose by 25 points.  It may hasten some action by the Jets front office.
WIN  24-0 Dolphins

PATRIOTS -10 Broncos
Cam Newton is back.  Drew Lock might start for Denver.  Won't matter.  Patriots at home rule applies.  Ten points is pushing it .. but
Loss  18-12 Broncos

Bears +1 PANTHERS
This line has been shifting all week.  Panthers are winners of three straight.  By my estimation it's time for a loss.  They're defense is just bad enough to make Nick Foles look good.  Gotta give the Bears defense a lot of credit, they've been outstanding.  Take notice when Vegas doesn't give the standard three at home.
WIN  23-16 Bears

Lions -3 1/2 JAGUARS
Lions are bottom third on both sides of the ball.  But they're coming off a bye and they're trending.  In last two weeks they defeated the Cardinals and played a close games against the Saints.  That's good company, whereas the Jags are 0-4 since their Week One miracle win over the Colts.
WIN  34-16 Lions

VIKINGS -4 1/2 Falcons
No general manager, no head coach, add in some COVID, and the Falcons have no shot.  Dalvin Cook is out for MIN.  I'd still take the Over (54.5) in this game.  Vikes lost by one to SEA.  They've been the more competitive team despite all the losing.
Loss  40-23 Falcons

Texans +3 1/2 TITANS
I know ... Titans are the smart bet here.  Nice victory over Buffalo.  Between their COVID casualties and coming off a short week, I just do not know where their preparation level is.  The Texans record says one thing, but their team stats say another.  Interim HC Romeo Crennel is no novice.  If anyone can sniff out smash mouth football and thwart it, it's him (Parcells, Belichick, Crennel, you get the idea).  The demise of DeShawn Watson has been greatly exaggerated.
Loss  42-36 Titans  o.t.

STEELERS -3 1/2 Browns
Mayfield and Beckham are questionable which means they'll play.  Steelers, offensively, look drunk.  However, I wanna see the Browns run against the Steelers defense.  They watched last week's film and know what happened against the Colts.
WIN  38-7 Steelers

Ravens -7 1/2 EAGLES
Eagles offensive line taking another hit with two more injuries.  Their ability to score has always been their problem.  Injuries to defense too.  They'll hang around for 30 minutes then fall apart.  At least the Ravens are averaging 29 points per game.
Loss  30-28 Ravens

COLTS -7 1/2 Bengals
Colts are gonna be pissed off after last weeks loss against the Browns.  I still consider their defense that good.  Both running games are a wash.  That leaves Phillip Rivers vs. rookie Joe Burrows.
Loss  31-27 Colts

Packers -1 BUCS
Aaron Rogers vs. the Bucs defense.  Tom Brady doesn't know what down it is ... his hair still looks great though.  Only third time Brady and Rogers are playing each other.
Loss  38-10 Bucs

Rams -3 NINERS
This is the time of year when the Los Angeles Paper Tigers are at their best.  They will expect the Niners to be angry after losing against the Fish.  Just wait till Aaron Darnold gets a hold of Jimmy G and his questionable ankle.  That will change their attitude.
Loss  24-19 Niners

Late Monday Afternoon Football brought to you by COVID
Chiefs -4 BILLS
WIN  26-17 Chiefs

Schmear of the Week: 2-3
COLTS -7 1/2
Loss

Good luck and have a great FOOTBALL SUNDAY everyone!
