BROOKLYN: Another Part Of Coney Island History Has Passed Away.
It is indeed a dank and dreary day along Surf Avenue today.
Rain continues to pour down on Nathan's Famous
as if shedding tears for the passing of a Coney Island legend.
Murray Handwerker, son of the founder of Nathan's Original Coney Island Hot Dogs, Nathan Handwerker, has passed away at the age of 89 years old. Murray was the man most responsible for taking his Father's brand from Coney Island and turning it a national sensation.
