D GEEneration METS

Ike Davis hit another of his patented BOMBS tonight anchoring Dillon Gee on the winning side of the game still in progress versus the Nationals down in the Capital City.  Mets Rookie Dillon Gee making his first MLB appearance sits three out away from gaining his first ever MLB victory.  Bobby Parnell will try and secure Dillon's first W for him.

Dillon's line tonight:
7 innings pitched
2 hits allowed
1 run; 1 earned
3 base on balls
4 strikeouts
1 home run surrendered
86 pitches; 53 for strikes
1.29 game era

Gee, that's a sweet way to break into the bigs.

These are happy days for me as the Mets harvest the farm in search of the next Era in Mets History.

UPDATE:  Ike Davis' three run home run stands.  The Mets went final.
Dillon Gee's first MLB victory ~ "Put it in the Books!"....And that was "Your Happy Re-Cap".

  1. The kid had an amazing game. Now it looks like Jerry Manuel isn't sure if he'll get another start. Note to Jerry Manuel: The season is over. Time to see what the kids have.

  2. Agreed! That's why Jeff Wilpon needs to call offthe Dog. Managers just coach to win. But we have different business at hand now and he needs to get that. But he won't be back.
