LIU Blackbirds ~ Undefeated and Alone in First Place

From the desk of:   THE HOOPS OF FLATBUSH

LIU BLACKBIRDS:   Perched All Alone in First Place.

OVERALL RECORD:   12-6
CONFERENCE RECORD:   6-0; First Place
HOME RECORD:   6-0

Look who's Number One!  Well actually, they've been number one.  But this time, the LIU Blackbirds will be heading into Thursday's game against Mount St. Mary's undefeated and all alone in first place of the Northeast Conference.  Central Connecticut State lost last Saturday night's game to Wagner, and now both Central Connecticut and Wagner, along with St. Francis (NY), sit tied with 5-1 records in second place behind LIU-Brooklyn, who defeated Monmouth last Saturday afternoon.

The Blackbirds' next game will be the last of a three game set at the Downtown Brooklyn Wellness Center before they hit the road to take on Wagner in Staten Island, for not only a Battle of the Boroughs, but with a piece of first place at stake as well.

The Blackbirds will be putting their seven game winning streak on the line, as well as their undefeated in-conference record when they hit the Ashland Place Gym Thursday night.

Last Game:  Flatbush Wins 7th Straight; Stay Undefeated After Defeating Monmouth.
