L.I. DUCKS ~ Mike Parisi Loses Strong Start To Camden

From the desk of:  WEBBED INSANITY

Long Island Ducks:  Camden Takes First Game Of Series; Deny Mike Parisi A Win After Fine Effort.

Mike Loree and Mike Parisi continue to provide the Ducks with a formidable combination at the top of the rotation.  And although he took a tough loss last night against the Camden Riversharks, Mike Parisi still pitched a gem.

Mike Parisi's Line:
8 ~ innings.
8 ~ hits.
2 ~ runs/ 1 earned.
1 ~ walk.
9 ~ strikeouts.

Long Island scored one run in the second inning.  Camden scored an unearned run in the third inning in what turned out to be a costly error by Ray Navarrete at second base.  And that's the way the game stayed through the seventh inning.  In the eighth inning, Camden rallied against Parisi with a clean double and single to go ahead by one.

The Ducks could muster nothing more than their lone run against Camden starter; Josh Towers.  He kept the potent Long Island offense relatively quiet; surrendering eight hits; one run; and one walk through eight innings pitched.
